Sayeh Khosh fue el epicentro de un fuerte terremoto de 6.0 que sacudió a Irán dejando un saldo de 5 muertos y en un primer balance que entregan las autoridades, según informó la agencia noticiosa estatal IRNA.
El sismo con una magnitud de 6,0 tuvo su epicentro 100 km al suroeste de la ciudad portuaria de Bandar Abbas, en la provincia de Hormozgan, informó el Servicio Geológico de Estados Unidos (USGS).
Las cinco personas murieron en la aldea Sayeh Khosh, cerca del epicentro del terremoto, informó IRNA citando al Consejo Islámico del poblado. Indicó que tres cuerpos fueron sacados de los escombros.
Ocurrió un minuto después de otro temblor de magnitud 5,7.
Luego de la tragedia, el ministro del Interior iraní, Ahmad Vahidi, viajó a esta provincia para acelerar los esfuerzos de socorro a las víctimas del terremoto.
